I have been working in Accountancy for several years, in a high volume environment after changing from my previous career in Retail Management.  I have worked as a Cost Accountant for a world-wide construction and engineering company, and I was as a Company Accountant for a furniture retail company. I now work for myself  providing Accountancy & Bookkeeping services to local sole traders and small businesses, including my previous employer.

I have previously studied the AAT accountancy qualification, and I am qualified with the CIMA Certificate In Business Accounting.  Currently I am studying for the CIMA Managerial Level Qualifications.

About My Service

Essentially, my service is tailored to suit your specific requirements but to give you some idea of what this might include:

• Check and reconcile Supplier Statements
• Produce Sales Invoices and Customer Statements
• Allocate monies recieved, update Debtors and report as required
• Prepare supplier payments for signing, update Creditors and report as required
• Month End / Period End pre-payments, accruals and adjustments
• Produce periodic Management Accounts tailored to your specific requirements
• Reconcile Bank Statements and prepare Cash-Flow forecasts so as to highlight any potential problems
• Year End Accounts
• Payroll Processing
• VAT Returns
• Tax Returns
• Produce any ad-hoc analysis or reports that you require
• Maintain a filing system for your financial paperwork
• Manage all your Bookkeeping requirements

I also work some evenings & weekends, so I am contactable when most other Accountants wouldn't be.  This tends to fit in very well with sole traders and small businesses, who often are either operating quite flexible hours themselves, or are simply too busy running their business during the day to take time out to deal with the admin.

In many cases, I will call in and collect all of your paperwork and other information from you and drop it back to you the next day.  As I said, I tailor my service to suit YOU.

I use both Sage Accounting Software and Microsoft Office Accounting Software.
