Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2008 is a free version of Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2008. 

Whilst Microsoft have dominated the market for office software for years (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel being almost as commonly used in business as staplers and pens), until now they have never really had much impact in Accountancy software. 

I have been using Microsoft Office Accounting Professional for a while now and I am very impressed with both what it can do and how it does it.  It really does pay to take a bit of time setting things up correctly to begin with, because once you have done this you won't need to re-enter the information again. 

Microsoft Office Accounting is more than just Accounting software, it is business management software.  It integrates seamlessly with other Microsoft Office software so for example; if you need to write to one of your customers all of the contact information can automatically transfer to Microsoft Word on your own customised letterhead.  When you have done, you can attached your letter to the Customer's file for future reference.

You can produce invoices that you can email to your customers which even include a PayPal Payment button, making it even more quick and convenient for your customers to pay you.

There are numerous reports available, which can all be easily customised to instantly give you the information that you need.

Even Payroll can all be managed from Microsoft Office Accounting without the need for additional software, with all of the Tax Tables kept up to date for you.
